I am challenging the artists on DA, including myself, to see how much they can truly advance their technique/skill/speed within a month and/or how much they can achieve in a month...you could regard this as some sort of contest, but in truth, tis a challenge, and not an easy one at that...

After practising my musical instruments(flute and trumpet) rather often due to upcoming concerts, i was surprised by how much i improved in such a short time...15-20 minutes a day of just running over things...so I wondered if it would be possible to advance that much in art...

--->THE CHALLENGE: From December 1st to 31st, set aside 15-30 mins just to draw...do not approach it as a doodle, but as an actual piece or advanced technical exercise...this means that by the end of the month, you should have 31 drawings...

- you can't miss a day...in truth, there are no excuses as you can always find 15 mins of free time at some point in the day...
- you have to do a new piece each day...if you don't finish something and you want to finish it, scan in what you managed to finish in the 15 mins and continue it at another time
- try and work on the things you aren't quite as good at (ex. proportion, expression, animals, people etc.) for you can't get any better if you don't work on the things you're not as good with
- use any media you wish, and if you have a tablet you can use that too...

- IMPORTANT (FOR THOSE LACKING SCANNERS!!!): I realize that some people do not have scanner's or do not have consistent access to a scanner...they could always just do all this digitally or date each drawing IN INK...and if they ever happen to get a hold of someone's scanner, they could just scan them in then...(and if they cheat and say they did one everyday and date it as such when they didn't, they'll be cursed with the eternal guilt of cheating)
I'll also be putting up a journal or something of the sort to keep up with people's progress, so those people who don't have a scanner will be able to tell me if they did it or not, and I'll take your word for it
